Can Tabs Project for Wheelchairs for Children.

Rotaractor Micaela Hart placed a jar at the University of St. Martin (USM) for students to put their can tabs in. The can tabs are shipped to Canada where they are sold for their aluminum value; the money is used for the project ‘Can Tabs for Wheelchairs for Children’. When Mr. Eion Maison, the Director of SCELL, saw what it was for he informed Micaela that he is the adviser to the Learning Unlimited Interact Club and asked if they could involve them. They visited the Learning Unlimited Interact club and the Interactors decided to hold a contest to see which class at Learning Unlimited could collect the most can tabs. The Grade 3 students won, by collecting the most tabs. The container handed over to Mid Isle contained the tabs collected from Learning Unlimited along with what was collected at the University of St. Maarten.

The Rotary Club of St. Maarten-Mid Isle meets Tuesday at 7pm at Mary’s Boone in Simpson Bay. For more information please This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or visit our face book page Rotary Club of St. Maarten-Mid Isle
