USGF continues Parliamentary Procedures training.

usgfparliamentaryprocedures02122012SOUTH REWARD:--- The United Student Government Front (USGF) on Thursday (November 29, 2012) hosted the second in a series of Parliamentary Procedures workshops for students. The venue was St. Dominic High School.

Close to two dozen students from the host school, as well as the two campuses of St. Maarten Academy received training on how to conduct the meetings of their respective student government associations.

Veteran Toastmaster John Hodge guided the participants on how to present, move, and vote on motions. Previous training in October equipped the students with knowledge of preparing agendas for their meetings, as well as parliamentary terminologies to ensure the smooth execution of their conferences.

After Thursday's workshop, everyone participated in an early Christmas dinner. The final part of training will take place on April 18, 2013. USGF, which mainly aims at building leadership skills among high school students, will also host an interscholastic board games competition in January 2013. All high schools are encouraged to participate.
