Blend In Shareholder Speaks Out --- Holiday trying to ditch Blend In and Created New Security Company --- PROSEC Not Registered at Chamber of Commerce.

nevillemars04122012Philipsburg:--- Embattled former Chief Commissioner of Police and Government Mediator Derrick Holiday who has been sent on vacation pending the termination of his contract has taken another step to defraud the co-owner of Blend In Security Company and its workers. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Neville Mars and co-owner of Blend In Security in an exclusive interview with SMN News confirmed that the company which is just over a year old has had some financial difficulties and that the workers including himself were not being paid. Mars said he is an equal partner in Blend In Security and some of their clients are late in making their monthly payments which created financial havoc with the workers. Mars said he felt that because of the failing economy several of their clients are not able to make their payments on time and Blend In Security has a contractual agreements with their clients that gives them 45 days in which payments can be made. The CEO and co-owner of Blend In Security said the late receivables affected the entire operation of the company. "Because of the late receivables the staff and management including him are heavily affected because the company is the only source of income." Mars said besides the financial aspect, there are several issues taking place in the company especially since the workers are not satisfied. Mars said that the company started with 25 workers and since this has been going on for some months now some of the workers have lost patience and have since sought employment elsewhere. "I am not annoyed or angry with the workers because I know what they are going through and I am human also."

SMN News managed to obtain a letter Derrick Holiday wrote to the Bank of Novia Scotia informing them that he will be the sole signatory on the checks issued by Blend In Security. The letter SMN News obtained states that the management of Blend In Security requests to make new arrangements with the bank regarding the signing of cheques. The letter continues by stating that presently two signatures are required which are the signature of the Managing Director and the CEO of the company. Hence as of November 1, 2012, when the letter was written only one signature will be required and that will be the signature of the Managing Director Derrick Holiday.

SMN News learnt that Holiday told a senior person at the bank that Neville Mars was not on the island and that was the reason he was requesting that the changes be made. A source from the Bank of Scotia Bank stated that a supervisor of the bank deflated the claims of Holiday because that very day she saw Neville Mars walking in Philipsburg. Mars said that before he was contacted and informed of the letter a few cheques had slipped through the bank system with one signature but to avoid any confusion he endorsed the cheques Holiday signed and informed him that such decisions could only be taken by the board members.

Mars said based on rumors he learnt that Derrick Holiday has decided to take another route in accomplishing his mission. He said that Holiday wrote letters to the clients of Blend In Security and informed them that due to the breakdown in the management of Blend In Security N.V. he would like to end the service agreement with the clients under the company name Blend In Security as of November 30th, 2012 and continue providing services to them under a new company called "PROSEC SERVICES" (Professional Security Services). SMN News also managed to receive a copy of the letter which was sent to the General Manager of Bobby's Marina Frans Nieuwenhoven informing him that Holiday was ending the agreement they had with Blend In and will continue to provide services under PROSEC Services.

SMN News checked with the Chamber of Commerce to see if the new company which Holiday is operating alone has been registered at the Chamber of Commerce and if PROSEC Services has a crib number. When SMN News checked on Tuesday no such company was registered at the Chamber of Commerce St. Maarten.

Mars said that he also heard that his business partner is on a venture to quit Blend In Security and take its clients with him while the company has not filed for bankruptcy and dismissal of its workers. Neville Mars a former Superintendent of Police of the Guyana Police Force made clear that while Blend In Security is having financial problems the company is still operational. He said that the company is servicing three airlines at the Princess Juliana International Airport namely Westjet, Spirit, and DAE. On Tuesday, Neville Mars was at the Princess Juliana International Airport with his workers providing services to the clients they still have contracts with.

The co-owner of Blend In Security also made clear that he is willing to go all the way to defend Blend In Security and its workers. He said on Friday there will be a board meeting where a decision will be taken on the way forward. Mars said that if Holiday is pulling out of Blend In Security, the Court of First Instance would have to divide the assets and liabilities.
