WILLEMSTAD, Curacao:--- On 6 December, 2012, volunteers from the U.S. Forward Operating Location (U.S. FOL) assisted the Nos Welita Senior Citizen's Home Project. Equipped with rollers and brushes, the volunteers spent the morning painting the interior of the building which is due to open in January 2013.
The ongoing partnership between U.S. FOL volunteers and Biba Miho, the charity responsible for Nos Welita, is paramount to the completion of the overall project. The building will serve as the new home for 40 senior citizens. The men and women working at the U.S. FOL are frequent volunteers in the local community, contributing significant resources in labor and donations, during 18 volunteer events in November 2012 alone. This was yet another outstanding effort in building friendship with the citizens of Curacao.
