GREAT BAY (DCOMM):--- Minister of Education, Culture, Youth Affairs and Sports Hon. Silveria Jacobs recently presented Pastor Smith with 32 Christmas Gift Boxes for the less fortunate in the community.
The Gift Boxes which were prepared by the Departments of Culture and Youth Affairs, contained non-perishable goods and were made possible through love offering which were collected at the Annual Thanksgiving Service in collaboration with the St. Maarten Christian Council, St. Maarten United Ministerial Foundation and the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
This is an annual undertaking by the government and the churches, and is in keeping with the expression of love during this holiday season towards those who are in need.
The entire society is encouraged to engage in sharing with love ones, friends, neighbors and the needy.
