Owner of Stolen Toyota Corolla Offering Reward for their Passports.

French Quarter:--- Rajindra Rattan and his wife Bibi Shamila Rattan both residents of 13 Rue Correlita French Quarter are now offering a reward of $1000.00 to anyone that finds their stolen Guyanese passports and returns them. The Rattans in an interview with SMN News on Sunday said that someone in their neighborhood stole their vehicle on Friday December 28th, 2012. The vehicle, a Toyota Corolla with number plate 8964 AAA, was found in Sucker Garden on Saturday morning but the items inside the vehicle were not recovered. Bibi Rattan said she had a black briefcase inside her car containing their passports and other documents all of which were stolen. "We need our passports because they contain visas for Canada and the United States. Besides that, we are business people and we need our documents to do our business. The police on the Dutch side found our vehicle and they turned it over to a tow truck company. The police told us they are holding the vehicle for further investigation and promised to release the vehicle on Monday December 31st, 2012." The Rattans said they already contacted the Gendarmes and they were told that the Gendarmes need to receive the report from the Dutch side before they can start their investigation. The Rattans further explained that bystanders in the area saw who stole their vehicle and took it to the Dutch side where they stripped the car. This person is not from French Quarter and we believe he has our passports. "We are calling on this person or anyone who have our documents to return it to us and we will pay the reward," the Rattans said.
