Grand Case:--- A male tourist lost his life Tuesday evening in Grand Case. According to information provided to SMN News by an eyewitness, the male tourist was snorkeling in Grand Case and at some point he died. The eyewitness said persons in the immediate area who witnessed the death of the visitor believed that he must have hit his head. However, Captain of the Gendarmerie Sylvain Jouault said that the doctor who pronounced the man dead on the scene said the victim was ill. Jouault said that the victim took ill while he was in the water.
Several Gendarmes reported to the scene to investigate how the man died. At the time, the male tourist was in the area with his wife who also witnessed her husband's demise.
