A similar live-stream set up was successfully provided by TelEm Group for the Bureau of Telecommunications and Post St. Maarten Internet Seminar, recently hosted at the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort.
According to TelEm Group Chief Technical Officer (CTO) Mr. Eldert Louisa, the live stream facility is becoming very popular with conference delegates and he credits technical expertise Network Engineer, Mr. Percival Cocks, and the rest of the staff of Technical Operations for making this form of communication possible.
He said TelEm Group is proving complimentary internet communication for the conference as well and part-sponsorship of the group's conference publication.
The donations were made to Lion Melvin James during a brief presentation ceremony at the TelEm Group building, Pond Island, Friday.
The Lions Mid-Year Conference brings together two Lions Districts from Cayman Islands in the North to Guyana in the South.
There will be separate District meetings from the start of the conference today and until Friday with a joint meeting of both Districts on Saturday when information between the two districts will be exchanged.
Sint Maarten Lions Club President, Mr. Claudio Buncamper, has thanked TelEm Group for its assistance and sponsorship to make the group's conference a success.

He is especially pleased with the live video stream which will allow those who cannot be at the conference on St. Maarten, to follow developments online.
