MARIGOT:--- A 34 year old man believed to be one Joe Richardson who was affiliated with a gang was found dead not far away from Baie Lucas lookout point on Rue de Coralita on Sunday.
Reliable sources said the man was killed by several gunshot wounds. According to information provided to SMN News, the dead man was no stranger to law enforcement as he was arrested several times and was under investigation for an attempted murder which took place about a year ago. One well placed source said the late Richardson threatened someone with a knife about a year ago. It is not clear if the dead man assaulted the victim with the knife or if he only threatened the person's life. He was last living somewhere in Madame Estate.
Captain of the Gendarmerie Sylvain Jouault confirmed that the gendarmes found the body of a man that bore gunshot wounds. Joualt said the gendarmes are busy investigating the circumstances of the latest homicide that took place on the French side of the island. Jouault did not confirm neither deny the identity of the male body they found on the French territory on Sunday. The Captain of the Gendarmerie also did not say whether or not they requested any type of assistance from the Dutch authorities as they are in the early stages of the investigation.
