GREAT BAY:--- Funds raised from a Bike-A-Thon event for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, was presented to the Positive Foundation by TelEm Group's Personnel Association Tuesday.
Positive Foundation President, Shelly Alphonso, received the funds on behalf of her group.
She thanked the TelEm Group Personnel Association and TelEm Group staff and family members who participated in the Bike-A-Thon and several events organized during the month to bring public attention to breast cancer in the St. Maarten Community.
TelEm Group Personnel Association President, Mr. Stanley Faneyete, also thanked company personnel and members of the public for their support and participation, and the police for providing escort and monitoring along the route of the Bike-a-Thon, from the TelEm Group Building, around the Great Salt Pond and back to the TelEm Group Building on Pond Island.
"We have spoken with the Positive Foundation about how we can continue to assist them in the future with their public awareness and training programs," said the Personnel Association President.
