MEDELLIN, Colombia:--- The Minister of Justice of Sint Maarten, the Hon. Mr. Dennis Richardson, represented the Kingdom of the Netherlands as Permanent Observer at the fourth Conference of Ministers of Public Security (MISPA IV) of the Organization of American States (OAS), which was held in Medellin, Colombia, at 21 and 22 November 2013.
During this conference Minister Richardson met with Ministers and other officials of several OAS and Caribbean States, such as Barbados, St. Kitts & Nevis, Haiti, Trinidad & Tobago and Jamaica to discuss improvements in the ongoing law enforcement corporation.
He also met with the US Attorney General, Mr. Eric Holder to discuss the same topic. Mr. Richardson and Mr. Holder agreed to organize a next meeting early in 2014 to discuss concrete measures for the improvement Caribbean law enforcement corporation. This will be done together with other interested Caribbean partners.
