Lightning Basketball's female friendly games a success.

lightningbasketballcampassociationweekendgames26112013PHILIPSBURG:--- Lightning Basketball Camp Association held two days of fun this past weekend with 5 friendly female basketball games at the Sundial School. The participating teams were Thunderz (French Side), Star Cadets, Learning Unlimited (LU), St. Dominic High and the host Lightning girls. This was the first "real" game for new teams such as Learning Unlimited and St. Dominic. Nerves was very present but support and encouragement was evident throughout the days. All teams showed great sportsmanship and the referees chimed in by giving tips to the players throughout the game, it was a real positive atmosphere overall. It was a joy to see females active in sports, especially the sport of basketball which is greatly male dominant. The Lightning Basketball Camp considers these games to be a huge a success and one that will drive more interest in the sport of basketball for females.

Lightning Basketball Camp main goal right now is to bring back female basketball and these friendly games were evident that the sport is still alive among females.
