The prepared will inherit the future

lennypriest19042015PHILIPSBURG:---  We want to congratulate the St. Maarten Chamber of Commerce & Industry with the opening of the Business Centre. This Centre will provide many young entrepreneurs with the skills and confidence to go into business. Quite often we have people that would like to go into business but don't have the necessary skills and confidence to venture into it.
We strongly believe that this Business Centre together with the SBDF and the USM will provide our potential entrepreneurs with the necessary tools and confidence to move forward with their dream of going into business. In a letter dated May 1, 2015 to the St. Maarten Chamber of Commerce & Industry we have expressed our views.
We also want to recognize the contribution that many of our forefathers have made by paving the way for some us to enter into the business world and we should thank them for their hard work and dedication. Even though many of them are no longer with us we should still keep their dreams alive by naming this center after one of those business pioneers, the late Mr. Melford Hazel Sr. Mr. Charles F. W. Vlaun or Mr. Chester Wathey.
There may be others who have made great contributions towards the paving of the development of businesses on St. Maarten we can honor them in the form of some type of annual award during the Chamber new year reception. We look forward to great things to come from our chamber over the next couple of years.
