PHILIPSBURG:--- SMN News has been reliably informed that the second Minister to complete the executive branch of government has been found. SMN News has been reliably informed that a candidate for the Ministry of Labor has been found. According to information provided to SMN News is that Member of Parliament Cornelius de Weever intends to appoint the former policy advisor and acting mediator of Labor Department Raphael Boasman who went on pension at the end of June 2015. Boasman told SMN News that he was going into his own business and if government wants his service then they would have to be prepared to pay him good.
The source said that MP De Weever felt that Boasman will be the perfect candidate for the Ministry since he firmly believes that Boasman would fight tooth and nail to have the counterpart law established on St. Maarten.
While Boasman is the latest candidate that has been named. Raphael Boasman is already working as a consultant for two of the BES islands. SMN News further learnt that Boasman even submitted a request for a license to operate his consultancy company since he is currently working under his own name. It is not yet known if Boasman obtained that license but up to last week he checked with the Ministry of Economic Affairs to see if his request was handled and if it was approved by government. Efforts made by SMN News to reach Boasman Tuesday evening proved futile as he did not respond to phone calls made to him.
