House Search conducted, suspect arrested but released hours later.

PHILIPSBURG:--- The shooting that took place early Sunday morning in Madame Estate that involved several young men, led to a house search and an arrest on Sunday.
SMN News learnt that the victims who claimed that several shots were fired at them turned out to be the son of a detective and the son of a Voluntary Korps (VKS).
The early morning shooting gave police reasons to act swiftly in getting the culprit/ or culprits behind bars. On Sunday police conducted a house search and arrested one suspect. Press Prosecutor Karola Van Nie confirmed in an invited comment that a house search was conducted and arrest was made on Sunday but the suspect was released late Sunday afternoon. Van Nie said the search was conducted Sunday morning while the arrest was made during the same time with a prosecutor present when the search was conducted and that prosecutor also ordered the arrest of the suspect. Van Nie said it was the same prosecutor that ordered the arrest of the suspect ordered his release hours later on Sunday evening.
While police sent out a press release stating that there was a shooting incident during the early hours Sunday morning they failed to mention that the victims are related to police officers, they also failed to mention in that release that house search was conducted and an arrest was made and the suspect was subsequently released.
