PHILIPSBURG:--- The Court of First Instance ruled in favor of GEBE Supervisory Board on Tuesday where the judge clearly said that the two year extension given by the shareholder representative Prime Minister// Minister of VROMI Marcel Gumbs to the former COO of GEBE Romilio Maduro was illegal, thus declaring it null and void.
The Court further ruled that the former COO Romelio Maduro must reimburse the Government owned company all expenses he placed on the company after May 31st 2015 when his service level agreement expired.
One of the largest reimbursement Maduro has to pay back GEBE is all monies he paid to St. Maarten Service Provider/ Alfred Harley.
Efforts made to reach caretaker Prime Minister Marcel Gumbs on Tuesday proved futile. The board members of the Supervisory Board including the Chairman Rene Richardson could not be reached for comment.
