St Maarten students studying in Rhode Island celebrated St. Maarten's Day.

sxmstudentssxmday15042015Rhode Island/ St. Maarten:--- St. Maarten students studying at Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island, Providence celebrated St. Maarten's day this past Friday. Students have gotten together for the past two years to share this special day in remembrance of their home island. Local dishes were made such as Johny-cake, Bami, Plantain and even some local bush tea. Some of the areas of studies are Engineering, Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Advertising and Marketing Communications . Long hours was spent in discussing various topics such as coping culture differences in the US, past high school experiences & teachers to political and educational endeavors.
