Philipsburg:--- On Friday February 20th at approximately 12.15 a.m. an attempted armed robbery took place at a house on Topaz Road in Pelican Key area. The man with initials A.Q.C.V. living at the residence in question, stated to the Detectives of the Special Robbery Unit, the he was awakened by a strange noise coming from the sliding door of his house. He got up from his bed and started checking around the property. This is when he noticed an unknown man with dark complexion, in a crouched position, on the balcony of the upstairs neighbor. He went upstairs and confronted the suspect in question. A physical confrontation between them took place. During the confrontation the victim was seriously injured by the suspect with an unknown sharp and pointed object. The suspect then fled the scene. The suspect did not succeed in stealing anything from the property. A description of the suspect was given the victim and an investigation in ongoing.
