OPEN PROCLAMATION. The new Freedom deliverers of the Caribbean.

Introduction
The St. Martin Nation Building Foundation (2003) and its twin organization, the Association L’ Esprit de Concordia (2005) are both also officially registered under the name of the St. Martin Grassroots people Movement.
This collective body representing all native, St. Martiners, regardless of race, creed or religion has a its main objective the following;
To promote the recognition, preservation etc. of the native, indigenous St. Martin people to come first at home, as the foundation for the St. Martin nation building process which also strongly promotes the inclusion of people of all ethnicities legally residing on the island and who are of an ‘added value’ to the process.
Considering that;
Our movement hereby recognizes the role the Haitian People played in the pre-colonial era, that eventually resulted in the abolition of slavery....
Our movement will always be mindful of that role and will always be grateful to the Haitian people for such back in the day.
Our movement however also recognize that times have changed and are continually changing...
Our movement recognizes that our native, indigenous St. Martin People have now also joined the league of freedom fighting nations...
We hereby move to proclaim;
The native, indigenous St. Martin People to be the post-colonial ‘Freedom – and economic Deliverers’ of the Caribbean.
We look forward to all relevant entities taking careful note of this.
In addition – we look forward to all Governments in the region - not only to display a level of gratitude to all native, indigenous St. Martin People (St. Martin ID-card holders), but to effectively start putting policies in place to reciprocate the role St. Martin people have played in liberating our Caribbean brothers and sisters from economic hardship and consequently giving real meaning to their political independence.
Long live the native, indigenous St. Martin People and may their role as ‘Deliverers’ in the Caribbean be acknowledged in the annals of history- along with that of the former Haitian ‘Freedom fighters’.

Drs. Leopold James
President of the St. Martin Grassroots People Movement – the inclusive one.
