This is what is needed in government. Party needs to hocker down and start planning for the onslaught of the opposition. Romaine Laville is the faction leader of the UP but despite his youth, the man has limited experience in handling such a serious situation. He is a smart young fellow but not yet a politician. The party need advisors like Joe Richardson with a wealth of experience to advise this young group who are up against veterans like marlin, who know how to rock your boat. Every side has two stories. I personally think that Jules James should not be voting on the Resort issue because he is directly involved as GM. But everyone has overlooked where the real pressure on Parliament is coming from. Louis Laveist, who has a sister who worked for pelican resort. A direct relationship with his venomous attacks on the government. The acting Lt Gov also has a direct link to this saga, because his wife is one of the employees of the resort. So he too has his agenda against Jules. So why not sink Jules James and the UP at the same time. So let us wait for the meeting and hear more of the same

rumor has it....MP Louie Laveist should not have voted on the NA motion about Simpson Bay Resort last November because he has a blood relation working at the hotel.....and that this according to the constition is not correct....so UP was going to bring this forward in the meeting....hmmmmm

at all, LL may not be on the the Pelican payroll, but we all know who that family member of his is. LL do the honorable thing also and divorce. It is a shame to have an outside child and also acknowledged by you LL with the person who is about 20 years your junior. Jules James is there to do a job, The polititians went fishing to see who they can find that is is greedy and love money and to do their dirty work and they catch " A man of God" in their fish net.
How can he turn down the offer $$$$$$ when he is paid to screw the workers.It is public secret that, Teo, Sarah and Franky all are shareholders at the resort. that is why they never came down to see what is taking place.Some women that just got their dutch pasport voted for Sarah , and though that as she is a woman we could have gotten her support but... helas nothing. She knew where to find us when it was voting time , but I gues her car can't come in our neighbourhood no more, with that "sincere" and wonderfull smile and saying she is an animal lover. Let me make this clear, they threw us out 2 times what is that we are not dogs. we might be Room attendants but we are human being .
What is hurting me is that most of us went tro Pelican young and vibrant young women & men , but most women,

We went to work there and now that we work our a...... off and is time for retirement we are been kicked abused and spat upon and they don't have no use for us anymore, and sent us home without a penny, i think that is very unfair, many of us still have mortgage, some rent and have other bills, some are not retirement age and have small children, only who is in the kitchen feels it.
We give you our youthfull years, all we are asking for is. please please just pay us what is due to us and put a closureto this saga, so we can go on with our lives We will leave the hotel for history to repeat it self, because as I can see is only certain families can live comfortable in St. Maarten and the rest have to struggle. That is why I feel sad that a man like Jules from the little village of St. James, who forgot where he came from and should know that these people realy don't love him , he is black and only there to do the dirty work, it is sad how he got caught, but I hope he wake up before it is too late.
They could not get through with the former General managers they were too smart, now he is the poor local black sheep that as soon as he sees "green $$$" he gone stupid and this is the reasults So in conclussion to those people that are wondering what the hell those employees of Pelican wants, we realy don't care of going back just give us what is due to us . Politicians ............. see you next three years at the party where you will recognize & remember us so that you can waltz with us again .......................
