If its electricution i blame the crappy building code of st. maarten. Every outlet inside the bathroom is to be a GFI outlet (Ground Fault Interrupter) which prevents electrocution.

Love should be the most important thing in our lifes. From the time, i put on the news site. She was the first person that came to my mind and i started feeling sad. My son look at the picture, and i tell him to eat. But, he recognized her also. I never leave that Indian store with out a big shopping; always would encourage, talk, compliment, smile, give custormers price,... On occasions, she would laugh and tell me jokes about getting a little sister for my son.... Hmmmmm, if she had any personnal issues she never showed them. At, the same time maybe she wanted to. Well, I knew her, and the same way he snapped, she snapped at him too... Both of them were aggressive ppl, and that is one thing we did speak about, because I didn't like the way he was gettin on with her at one time, but she show herself too, which made me feel better. We used to talk about personal stuff, and I used to feel out that aspect, and she made me feel like he was just annoying, but not abusive like what ppl think. God knows... just find it a bit strange that she is electrocuted while using the curling iron in the bath room except it's a tub and the iron fell in the tub. no one will be using a curling iron if the shower is running.then is the handle of the iron or the cord damage that she got shocked by it? or maybe the iron itself was defective and she touched it to check if it was hot enough and got shocked. they need to check those things cause just using the iron in the bathroom would not result in electrocution.

Toya was hurrying to go to work, she was late, she used her curling iron in the bathroom while her boyfriend was ironing her clothes. She got shocked and died. Before you people lend him support you are judging him. Yes they confiscate the body to do an autopsy, when its done and it shows that she was in fact electrocuted. How you people will repair the damage you all caused this young man.

Wen I got the news i was sooo shocked, they said it was suicide but i knwn u all my life and i cudnt bring myself to believe that!! we had so many things planned cruises etc. Ive never stopped thinking of u, i cant sleep and i cried all day today n yesterday reading these comments. If she was standing on a wet bathroom floor using an electric curling equipment she could be electrocuted indeed because water is a good electric conductor.
In this case the electric current pa**es from her hands straight through her body and exits via the sole of her feet. The palms of her hand and the soles of her feet will show signs of singeing ( red, burnwounds of black spots). In this case the actual cause of death is an rhythm problem of the heart because the own electric impulses of the heart are disturbed by the current (shock). Those people die instantly and do not respond to resuscitation. It is very important to keep the floor around electric equipments dry. And please people I do understand your frustation but do not point fingers in anyones direction, untill the forensic investigation is out. I do not know the diseased nor her family, but wish them all the strenght in those sad days.

I agree with him, BUT, having a GFI outlet or not, something is not right. Modern blow-dryers or curling iron also has a special shock safeguard, a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI), is to prevent accidental electrocution. Which means the minute it falls in water, overheat or short-circuit, all electrcity flowing to it shuts off IMMEDIATELY. But it still seems fishy. I hope they check to see if the iron interior has not been tampered with or she did not bought a faulty curling iron. The many reasons i avoid buying electrical products like fans, iron, etc. from backstreet stores. Too bad i can't sue!!! Many off those products dont have approval tags on them or hologram tags showing that the products has been inspected properly and certified to be legit.

If she was standing in the in the bathtub when she got electrocuted, she would fall and must show some signs of injury. I wont think she was laying in her tub full of water curling her hair because then I will call that suicide.

When you get electrocuted like that you have no control over your muscle movements and you will stiffen and fall like a log. No injury from a fall means foul play.

The electricity code for building on St.maarten do have this in your building permits. if gfi isn't in your house, the inspecter comes check if you don't have it in your bathroom, kitchen, water proof outlet etc. you will fail ,and wouldn't recieve current.

Sxm do have good building code, only if the house add on, or an old house, you will this unsafety outlet. may her soul rest in piece. I felt very sad, I do hope is an accident.

How many volts do these small items carry to cause death? Most men of indian decent are easy to kill and then commit suicide. Just read the newspapers.
