Philipsburg:--- Soualiga Corporate Toastmasters Club opened the year by inducting 5 new members, namely: Tamara Groeneveldt, Community Police Officers Daryl Chandler, Shawn Crispulo, Rensley Henson, and Arcella Leonard.
After a short Christmas break the Soualiga Toastmasters enthusiastically returned to the lectern on Wednesday January 9th. Observing the theme "movies" new and seasoned Toastmasters, as well as guests, fancied themselves on a movie set. In Academy Award style several Toastmasters were recognized for their constant support, commitment and progress.
With a lot of innovative and creative activities and meetings coming up, 2013 promises to be a very active year for the Toastmasters club for civil servants. Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization that teaches communication and leadership skills through a worldwide network of more than 13,000 clubs in 116 countries. Toastmasters teach them not only how to give more empty speeches but teach them how to write properly. Maybe then the reports will be of substance.
