Four Suspects in the Assassination of MP Helmin Wiels to go before Courts next week.

scalesofjustice28052013WILLEMSTAD, Curacao:--- The four suspects that were arrested last week in the assassination of MP Helmin Wiels are expected to appear in court next Monday, said Prosecutor Guillano Schoop. Schoop identified the suspects as E.K., C.P., N.F., and D.D. Schoop told SMN News on Wednesday that only one of the suspects E.K. gave investigators a statement on his role in the high day assassination on May 5th, 2013. He said the others maintained their right to remain silent but yet gave investigators bits and pieces of information. The case against the four suspects is called "Magnus".
Investigations arrested two brothers, one was arrested last week and the other was arrested on Tuesday, they are suspected of being the masterminds of the brutal assassination of Wiels. That investigation is called "Maximus", Schoop said.
Former Minister of Finance of Curacao George Jamaloodin who was arrested last week remains in custody. The Public Prosecutor said Jamaloodin appeared before the judge on Saturday and the prosecution was given another eight days. Jamaloodin was arrested on July 24th 2014, his home was searched, computers and cellular phones were seized.
On Tuesday, investigators arrested Robert Dos Santos the brother of George Jamaloodin. Dos Santos is the owner of Robbie's Lottery. His home was also searched, computers and celluar phones were among some of the items seized, Prosecutor Schoop told SMN News.
Robert dos Santos is no stranger to police, he was arrested on charges of tax fraud, money laundering and forgery in April 2012.
