Convict threatened Judge causing her go off on leave of absence.

PHILIPSBURG:---Judge Paulides is currently on leave of absence and did not attend court on Wednesday after she was threatened by a suspect last week Wednesday. According to information SMN News received the suspect identified as Reynold Reo Raymond born on February 18th 1989 on St. Maarten appeared before the courts on ten different charges ranging from attempted murder, firearm possession, drug possession and fencing of stolen goods.
The suspect was charged with four cases of attempted murder/ manslaughter. According to the verdict released on Wednesday last week the suspect attempted to take the lives of four people, one of whom became a handicap due to gunshot wounds. The four victims are listed as Brown, Glascow, Mauvais, Lanville and Aventurin.
He was acquitted on four of the ten charges but was condemned to 16 years imprisonment. Information reaching SMN News states that after Judge Paulides rendered the verdict (read the sentence) out to the suspect he threatened her verbally by stating the following “ An old woman like you will not be allowed to die on your bed.” The threats and statements made by the convict has shaken up Judge Paulides who went on leave of absence. On Wednesday a judge from Curacao was brought in to deal with the criminal cases that were on the docket for Wednesday. SMN News contacted Judge Mauritsz de Kort for a comment on the incident. Judge de Kort said that there was an incident which is currently under investigation, therefore he is not allowed to make any comment on the matter.
