PHILIPSBURG:--- In connection with the Opening Jump-up for Carnival 2018 scheduled for April 12th the Police Department is announcing the following road closures. The jump-up will start at 08.00 p.m. sharp in Reward in the vicinity of Milton Peters College;
At 07.30 p.m. The L.B. Scot road will be closed at the Gladiola road. No traffic will be allowed via this road to Sint Peters. L.B. Scot road will be closed at Arbutus road. No traffic will be allowed towards the Church Hill roundabout.
At 08.00 p.m. Gladiola road will be closed at the Coralita road. No traffic will be allowed towards the L.B. Scot road. L.B. Scot road will be closed at the Church Hill roundabout. No traffic will be allowed to Sint Peters via this road.
At 08.45 p.m. A.J.C. Brouwers road will be closed at Welgelegen road. No traffic will be allowed towards the Church hill roundabout. Bush road will be closed at the Zagersgut road. No traffic will be allowed towards the Church hill roundabout.
At 09.10 p.m. Zagersgut road closed at Bush road. No traffic will be allowed towards the Bush road. Prins Bernard Bridge closed. No traffic will be allowed towards the Bush road.
At 09.50 p.m. A.Th. Illidge road and the Longwall road will be closed at the Prins Bernard Bridge. No traffic will be allowed towards the Walter Nisbet road. Walter Nisbet road closed at Percy M. Labega Street. No traffic allowed towards Prins Bernard Bridge.
At 10.10 p.m. Manzanilla steeg will be closed at Walter Nisbet road. No traffic allowed on the Nisbet road. Tamarinde steeg will be closed at the Walter Nisbet road. No traffic allowed on the Walter Nisbet road. J. Richardson road closed at Walter Nisbeth road. No traffic allowed on the Walter Nisbet road. Walter Nisbet road closed at Hensy Beaujon Street. No traffic allowed towards the Prins Bernard Bridge.
At 10.40 p.m. C.W. Vlaun Street will be closed. No traffic will be allowed towards W.A. Nisbet road. W.A. Nisbet road will be closed at Salt Pickers roundabout. No traffic will be allowed on the W.A. Nisbet road.
At 11.00 p.m. D.A., Peterson Street closed at Salt Pickers Roundabout. No traffic allowed towards Salt Pickers roundabout. W.A. Nisbet road closed at Salt Pickers roundabout. No traffic will be allowed towards Freedom Fighters roundabout. Soualiga Boulevard closed at Rock Salt drive (Street next to Le Petit Chateau). No traffic allowed towards Salt Pickers roundabout.
All other alleys and tracks along the route of the jump-up will be closed for motor vehicle traffic during the passing of the jump-up. All streets, alleys, and tracks will be reopened as soon as the jump-up has passed.
After the Jump-up Salt Pickers roundabout will be partially closed allowing traffic to flow on the W.A Nisbet road in the of Prins Bernard Bridge and Freedom Fighters roundabout until pedestrian traffic.
All drivers are hereby advised to take keen note of this information and take all measures to avoid any necessary inconvenience or delays.
