Philipsburg:--- On Thursday December 1st, 2011 at approximately 6:10pm during a routine patrol in School Steeg in Philipsburg, a police patrol spotted a white car with license plate 7012 AAA parked on the side of the street. There were two occupants in the vehicle and the interior lights of the car were on. The patrol could clearly see the passenger in the car cutting something with a scissors. When the passenger saw the police approaching the car, he tried to hide the items he had with him next to the console. When the officers opened the door on the passenger side they found plastic container containing a large amount of small plastic bags containing marijuana prepared for distribution. The illegal drug was immediately confiscated. The driver with initials B.V. and the passenger with initials T.Y. were both arrested on the spot and taken to the police station and handed over to the Narcotic Department for further investigation.
