    Good job to the gendarmes.

    These people disturb your peace on the beaches.

    It is the same thing where people go around selling food, pattties and cakes, made by groups,
    this is putting a strain on the business and the man that has to run a business, and kills everything.

    We need such a**istance here on the dutch side.

    People sell things etc, in government owned companies,
    and this is wrong.

    Same should happen on the Dutch Side. These illegal vendors all around the place setting up shop on the road side. Bringing their country customs to SXM. If you happen to park anywhere near their illegal so-called shop/vendor and you are not buying from them, they curse you off that you are blocking eventually buyers to park to come to them. Can you imagine. Even the government road belong to these people now. What is being done here on the Dutch side to stop this? Nothing. Even flowers, fish and you name it are being sold also on the road (tax free) (and not cheap either). You have your business (legal) and you end up being tax for these illegal vendors. I am a business owner and can hardly keep my business afloat with all the illegal activities around me that is going on. Persons come here on vacation and stay and then to have an income, sell all kind of things on the road. Who taxing them or seizing their items to be an example to others with the same intention. Noone, but I have to make my monthly payments, but how if all this is allowed by illegal vendors. For once let the controllers do their ---- job and start seizing these items from vendors on the road.

    @Good job, I agree with you. I know a person who said that they sells pastries to the police on a daily basis. The person has no license or health certificate to sell. Yet they say they are allowed to sell these stuff inside of the police station. So why would they close down or fine other vendors who operate elsewhere, I have no idea. They may end up getting sick one by one and still have no idea what hit them.

    @known

    Thanks, and you are even more up to date than me, and
    yes they can be paid to make them all sick, and take over
    with more robberies.

    But government own establishments have to show, example.

    your CRIB number should be on every receipt.
