For a long live and successful Carnival in Sun Shine City we need to omit the dictatorship scheme Starsky and Hutch seem to possess yearly and finally put to rest this despotism within our carnival culture of Country St. Maarten, amount the heart of Calypsonians, Bands and individual artists whether its soca or calypso ECT: For too long now we have put up with their nonsensical deeds, their final decision are being made without our consent, and the astonishing announcement that are broadcast and it is stated to be confirm with the so claim SCDF final decision after taking note from the Band Members and Calypsonian to take back to the board and further discuss what new plans are set in place to make everybody happy. Instead this is their way or the highway. It seems they are board members that are undermining the authority of the SCDF president with making decisions when come to situation surrounding calypsonians and band members, even though we are the heart and soul of carnival which they are fully aware of, which need to be enforce permanently so they don't attempt to try and play treat of treat with us as if carnival falls in the Month of October. Moreover these two individual always believe they have better strategies than the calypsonians and Band members, for the simple facts that, they believe because they are part of the government officials or have access to a national broadcasting editorial news casts, that they can proclaim to the masses as they please. All due respect to the SCDF of Country St. Maarten, but I refuse the let anyone cross my passion as well as my associates in the arena. As most of us can recall on Lloyd Richardson talk show on Monday February 26, 2012 for our first proclamation for Carnival 2012, the SCDF vice president confirm the Road Jam and Soca Monarch participant and the when we discuss this in our meeting and it was suppose reconsider after the decision from the entire SCDF board well that just confirm we have no say for what we stated and what was writing down is null. In Starsky and Hutch minds who is running a Perry Mason strategy on us and thinking they succeed with their deeds. I don't know if both Starsky is playing the role of a tyranny and Hutch is been the acting governor. When it is a known fact that, they were not even at the first meeting upon our discussion of the Road jame and soca Monarch are being separated for bands and calypsonians, yet they making decision before the consent of the SCDF President and I don't think Stuart Johnson would allowed this to happen before reconsidering it with the participants. From this point on we demand that this dictatorship deed they both possess must be put to rest once and for all and let SCDF president deal with final decision making from hear on, before Starsky in Hutch in reverse destroy the name of the entire SCDF. Las but not least I'm force to believe that the government official are also playing a strategist game with our culture as well unlike the Heineken Regatta donation they donate to keep that in tack, yet the funds go to the outsiders and don't stay in the country to regenerate. Nevertheless, it was told the donation the SCDF receive is for promotion of SXM via the Carnival and tourism attraction and not for the part takers like artists, carnival troops, and prize money for the winners, is this because they are trying to stop the power of calypso?
