The series of Inter-church competitions by GIFTED Foundation continued with a futsal tournament on October 20, 2012 at the Melford Hazel Sports Complex. Originally scheduled for October 13, it was postponed due to excessive rainfall caused by Tropical Storm Rafael. Three churches participated due to last minute cancellations by other churches. However, despite the few participants, the event was deemed a success. The three teams came out with a large group of supporters to add to the atmosphere. The churches that took part are New Testament Church of God (COG), Christian Faith Ministries(CFM), and Church of God(7th day)(COG-7Day).The first game of the evening was a very entertaining game between COG and CFM. CFM came out victors with a 4-2 score line. There were 20 minutes break in between each game allowing players to rest. COG-7Day lost their first game by default due to late arrivals. The 2nd game of the evening was a rematch for COG and CFM. The winner was decided by aggregate score over the two games. COG advanced to the finals winning that game 5-2 (7-6 agg.). This sets up a win or go home match up between CFM and COG-7Day. This game the fans enjoyed the most, full of laughter, yet intensity as CFM won 6-2. This set another rematch in the finals between COG and CFM. With 1m26s remaining in the game, CFM had a commanding lead 4-1. COG won two penalties that were put away neatly by Overton Jack. The score was then 4-3 with 59 seconds remaining. CFM held off a valiant effort from COG to hang on for the win and to take home, or rather to church, the GIFTED Inter-church Futsal Championship trophy.
