Great Bay:--- As of today, January 9, 2013 all work permit resolutions for non-nationals will be available in English. The Ministry of Public Health Social Development & Labor recently had the work permit resolutions translated as a means of providing platinum customer service to the clients they serve.
"As a ministry we are constantly attempting to facilitate our clients. This translation has been in the making and after all the technical challenges and other priorities I am extremely happy to have this finalized. I am constantly listening to the complaints and trying to find new ways to address old/ pre-existing challenges. As a ministry we must continue to improve our services and be proactive," said Minister of Public Health Social Development & Labor, Cornelius De Weever.
Head of the Department of Labor, Peggy-Ann Dros stated that "Our business and private sector functions are primarily in the English language, and since the Work Permit has legislative consequences, it is important that businesses and the non-nationals are fully aware of same."
The Department of Labor Affairs has already made significant strides in addressing customer demands, by introducing an appointment system, as well as increased communication via email. Moreover, the department continues with the upgrades to its products and services, by creating heightened customer interaction opportunities.
