Philipsburg:--- The President of the Parliament of St. Maarten Rodolphe Samuel met with the President of the Parliament of Aruba and the President of Parliament of Curacao on Monday. Marcolino (Mike) Franco is the President of Curacao's Parliament. Franco was accompanied by his Secretary General Silvin Cyntje.
The Aruban President of Parliament Paul Croes and his Secretary General Jacqueline Sherman also formed part of the delegation that visited St. Maarten on a working visit. The delegation paid a courtesy visit to the Government Administration Building where they met with the Prime Minister of St. Maarten Sarah Wescot Williams.
The delegation also paid a visit to the Governor of St. Maarten drs. Eugene Holiday.
Samuel then held a meeting with his visiting counterparts in the conference room at the House of Parliament. The main goal of this tri-partite president of parliament meeting was to bring the Parliaments of the Caribbean part of the Kingdom on the same page, and also promote cooperation between these Parliaments.
