Kingdom Affairs Select Committee to Meet Wednesday Morning; Additional agenda point added to Wednesday afternoon Central Committee Meeting.

PHILIPSBURG:--- The Permanent Parliamentary Committee for Kingdom Affairs and Inter-parliamentary Relations will meet on January 30.

The Permanent Parliamentary Committee meeting is scheduled for Wednesday morning at 10:00am in the General Assembly Chamber of the House of Parliament at Wilhelmina Straat #1 in Philipsburg.

The agenda concerns preparations for the Inter-parliamentary Kingdom Meeting that will be held in The Hague, the Netherlands from March 5 to 8, 2013.

The points to be discussed in the meeting are to establish who will be part of the delegation that will travel to The Hague; the status of workgroups; and working visits.

The Central Committee meeting concerning the establishment of a Dutch military presence on the island is still scheduled for January 30 at 2:00pm in the General Assembly Chamber of the House of Parliament at Wilhelmina Straat #1 in Philipsburg.

An additional agenda point has been added, related to the proposed cooperation agreement between the parliaments of Aruba, Curacao, and Sint Maarten, that was signed on January 28, 2013.

Brigadier General D.A. Swijgman of the Netherlands Naval Command in the Caribbean, Directorate of the Dutch Caribbean Coast Guard and Task Group 4.4, will be informing members of parliament about the deployment of Royal Dutch Marines to the country and the location of the Marine base that is to be established.

Members of the public are always welcome to be present in the General Assembly Chamber during public meetings to follow the parliamentary session scheduled for that particular day.
