Boyfriend of Missing Anne Marie Lynch to be led before Judge of Instruction on Monday --- House Search Conducted --- Mos.

Philipsburg:--- Police arrested the Jamaican born boyfriend of the missing Jamaican woman and employee of Pineapple Pete's Restaurant Anne Marie Lynch, confirmed Chief Prosecutor Hans Mos on Saturday. The boyfriend who has been identified as Wallace/Serge by friends of the woman was arrested Friday morning and his house was also searched. Mos said the man will be led before the judge of instruction on Monday. When asked what the man was charged with, Mos said that the charges involve the disappearance of the woman who went missing since December 22nd, 2012.

On January 5th, 2013 friends of the missing woman combed several of the beaches on St. Maarten and they said they found a black stretch pants they believe belonged to Anne Marie Lynch (41) who is also a mother of two children that are residing in their homeland Jamaica. The pants were found on Cape Bay beach and it was given to the police who were called to the scene when it was found. The friends told SMN News that they also found a fire not far away from where the pants were found. On that day, the friends who conducted the search said that the boyfriend joined them in searching for the woman who went missing on the night he picked her up from her job.

Chief Prosecutor Hans Mos confirmed earlier to SMN News that the police and coast guards conducted searches in several areas on the island. Mos said that the police were using their dogs while the coast guard and its divers searched the coast lines of the beach. These searches were conducted between January 3rd and 5th 2013.

SMN News received information on Saturday evening where persons from the community said the woman's body was found in a pig pen on the French side of the island. However, the Gendarmes said they had no information on a body being found on the French side. SMN News also asked Mos if he was aware that persons on the French side recovered a female body and Mos said that he had no such information.
