Marigot:--- The Gendarmes managed to arrest a 19 year old young man who stole a beach bag from a woman at the Grand Case Beach on February 7th, 2013. A press release from the Gendarmerie states that a woman went to the beach to relax and shortly after a young man stole her bag that contained her personal items. The woman after realizing her bag was stolen alerted the gendarmes who were not far away from the location. The gendarmes acted on the tip and description of the suspect and managed to track down the suspect shortly after on the main road. The bag and its contents were recovered and returned to its owner while the culprit was arrested and released. He will be summoned to the Criminal Court of St. Martin sometime in the future.
