Boyfriend of Missing Anne Marie Lynch Released by Judge of Instruction --- Mos.

Philipsburg:--- The man police detained some ten days ago as a suspect in the involvement of the disappearance of Pineapple Pete's employee Anne Marie Lynch was released by the Judge of Instruction. Chief Prosecutor Hans Mos said in an invited comment that the suspect who was held some ten days ago was taken before the judge of instruction on Friday and the judge ordered that the suspect be released at the end of his first pre-trial detention which ended on Monday. Mos said that even though the suspect was led before the judge on Friday he was released on Monday. The island's Chief Prosecutor said that the judge denied the request of the Prosecutor to extend the pretrial detention for another eight days.
Anne Marie Lynch (41) is a Jamaican national who was residing on St. Maarten and an employee of Pineapple Pete's Restaurant. She was last seen on December 22nd, 2012 when she left work to go home with her boyfriend. According to the missing woman's friends and co-workers, Anne Marie Lynch confided in them the night she went missing that she was having trouble with her boyfriend because the man saw her with some monies and wanted to know where she got the monies from. The friends told SMN News that Anne Marie was someone who saved her monies and she also participated in "partner hands" and they believe that she collected the last and first hand of the well-known money saving game in December.

It is not clear how the investigation of the missing woman will move forward. In January 2013, the police with the help of the police dogs, and the coast guard conducted several searches for the missing woman. Friends of Anne Marie Lynch also combed the beaches and the only thing they found was a black stretch jeans pants that they turned over to police.
