PHILIPSBURG:--- In an effort to connect and interact with cruise travelers, the St. Maarten Tourist Bureau (www.VacationStMaarten.com) will guest host a live one-hour #CruiseChat with MSC Cruises on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 2 pm ET. Participants will gain valuable information about cruising to St. Maarten and the Eastern Caribbean and will have the unique opportunity to get their travel related questions answered the program's co-hosts.
"With thousands of tourists visiting St. Maarten each year while cruising the Caribbean, we understand how essential cruise travelers are to our island," said Edward Dest, interim director of tourism for the St. Maarten Tourist Bureau. "We believe this live Twitter chat with #CruiseChat will help us gain valuable insight into what cruise travelers really want to do and see while in St. Maarten and will aide us in better catering to their needs," he added.
Participants can join the live Twitter chat by searching the topic #CruiseChat and including the hash tag #CruiseChat in all tweets. During the chat, the St. Maarten Tourist Bureau and MSC Cruises will jointly tweet questions and answers to the public about cruising in the Caribbean.
CruiseChat is a weekly Twitter event dedicated to the discussion of cruise travel in a fun, informative and engaging format, and is the only Twitter chat dedicated to the cruise industry. Each chat reaches up to 900,000 Twitter users during the one hour live sessions.
