Philipsburg:--- Convicted Vesuvius suspect Andrew "Ratty" Davis was released from the St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) since last Thursday and he is now back at the Prison facilities recuperating, confirmed Chief Prosecutor Hans Mos. Davis who is currently serving a nine year prison sentence was stabbed multiple times in the Simpson Bay holding cells last week Sunday morning. Davis had to undergo emergency surgery to save his life. Mos said the detectives detained four suspects who were all questioned and sent back to the prison facilities, he also told SMN News earlier that the detectives that searched the institution found several weapons but he could not say if the weapon that was used in the stabbing was found.
Mos said on Monday that Davis already gave police a statement and confirmed that he was involved in an altercation with the four persons that were arrested and questioned but the police still has to figure out which of the four suspects/prisoners stabbed Davis. Mos said the police have to question Davis again before they can finalize the investigation.
It should be noted that Andrew "Ratty" Davis was scheduled to be heard sometime this month in the appeal hearing of the Vesuvius case which is scheduled to take place sometime in March 2013.
