Philipsburg (DCOMM):--- With the upcoming Carnival season, the Department of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Traffic & Telecommunication has issued a public notice to the community to those persons wanting to sell or vend food, beverages, helium balloons, and other typical items associated with carnival.
In order to vend such products, a vending license is needed to sell along the public roads during the carnival festivities of 2013.
This is also the case for booth holders. They too have to get a vending license at the Department of Economic Licenses (also known as Economic Affairs), according to the public announcement by the Department.
The vending license will be issued by the Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Traffic & Telecommunication via the relevant department.
Applications for these vending licenses are processed by the above-mentioned Department located at Zoutsteeg #3 in Philipsburg (the former Bico Building, or next to the Chamber of Commerce).
The deadline for these applications to be submitted is April 5th, 2013.
The cost of the license for the entire Carnival season is seventy five NA guilders (Naf. 75.00).
