Simpson Bay:--- TelEm Group and the St. Maarten Carnival Foundation (SCDF) kicked off a "Road to Carnival" party at Soggy Dollar Bar last Friday – the event is being hosted by TelEm at different locations each week in the build up to St. Maarten's premier carnival event.
Both TelEm Group and SCDF officials were present Friday . All were happy with the turnout and with the way the night progressed.
"We were especially pleased with the number of TelEm Group staff who turned out to join in the party, have fun and support their company," said one of the TelEm Group coordinators, Ms. Cheryl Rismay.
She said the "Road to Carnival" party moves on to Bliss night club this Friday (March 15) and then to Prive; Impulse, First Saturday, Boardwalk and Tantra for the following Friday's until the opening night of carnival.
"Of course the more people who turn up, the merrier, said Cheryl.
Meantime she is asking everyone to come out dressed in Carnival attire, or at least wear a mask so that they can enter into a free raffle to win a prize on the special party nights.
"It's all part of the fun and getting everyone geared up for the hottest carnival in the Caribbean," said an enthusiastic Cheryl.
