Owner of A-Team Security Robbed by Convicted Head of Immigration and his wife Charlene Craig.

willemvanbarren17032013Philipsburg:--- The owner of A Team Security Willem van Barren in a telephone interview with SMN News on Sunday said that he was hospitalized last week when he heard that his workers were not paid. Van Barren said that he hired Charlene Craig, the wife of convicted head of immigration Marcel Loor, to do his administration. The A Team owner said that Craig has been working for him for the past six months and she is the one that did his payroll and had communication with his clients, workers, and even his lawyer when he has labour disputes with his workers.

Van Barren said he owns a Security Company in the United States and he was forced to return to the USA because his daughter who was running his company had to leave in order to continue her education. Van Barren said his intention to leave the island was made known to Craig and she even brought in her husband Marcel Loor whom he made Managing Director of his company in his absence. The A Team owner said that Charlene Craig suggested to him that he make Loor a director since he did not have anyone in senior positions that could take decision while he is off island. Van Barren said Loor was made managing director two months ago and instead of working for the company Loor began investigating his company and met with some of his workers and clients and was also investigating them. Van Barren said his intention was to live in the USA to manage his company there but he had intended to travel to St. Maarten once per month to do the payroll but Craig and Loor told him that they could manage the company for him and he did not have to return to St. Maarten on a monthly basis. "They told me they could handle everything and that they would send me the remainder of the money every month." Van Barren said just prior to him leaving the island he had to arrange several things. He said when they are short he either leaves cash or checks for his workers. He said for February Maho and Great Bay Resort were all late with their payments. Van Barren said prior to him leaving the island he left $45,000.00 to pay his workers and Loor and Craig had to pick up at least three checks from companies that paid late for him to complete the February payroll but now he does not know where the money went and neither can he make contact with Craig and Loor. marcelloor17032013Van Barren said Loor picked up a check from Great Bay and he signed the check at the back even though he (Loor) knows that he cannot deposit checks with his signature on it. "I don't know what Marcel Loor was trying to do but my accountant found the check at some store and managed to deposit the check." Van Barren said Charlene Craig paid a visit to his lawyer and informed him that she does not want to work for him anymore. When asked by SMN News reporter if he believes that Craig and Loor are behind his clients and company, Van Barren said he is of the opinion that these people are trying to steal his company and even his lawyer who worked for him for years no longer wants to work for him. Van Barren said he really does not know what is going on but his friend and former owner of A Team along with his accountant are busy working on the matter and when they gather enough information on the recent developments with Craig and Loor he will travel to St. Maarten.

"They are not responding to my phone calls and emails, even my clients I am not hearing from, the Maho Group where most of my workers work. Maho Group has monies for me dating back to three months and they too refused to respond to my emails. I am told Craig and Loor went to Puerto Rico but I don't know if that is true." Van Barren said Craig did not want to hand over his company's information but just recently his accountant managed to get some information from Craig but she refused to turn over the computer that has all his company's information. Van Barren said Craig and Loor just recently moved his company's head office to the ice cream parlour they rented on the Boardwalk in January 2013.

Van Barren said that one of his senior Supervisors got an unexpected visit from Craig and Loor and she decided that she will not work for A Team anymore.

SMN News attempted to confirm the story of Van Barren by looking for proof that shows that Charlene Craig is involved with A Team Security and we managed to find that proof on LinkedIn where Craig is listed as the Assistant General Manager at Security A Team: http://www.linkedin.com/in/charlenecraig. SMN News also found on the same site where Loor is registered as the Managing Director and Security Consultant at Secadex International Ltd: http://www.linkedin.com/in/marcelloor.

In the meantime both Loor and Craig were condemned to pay almost Naf. 900,000.00 but they recently appealed the verdict.
