Philipsburg (DCOMM)—The Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Traffic and Telecommunication herewith makes the following known:
Good Friday, which falls on Friday, March 29, 2013, is an official holiday.
In keeping with the Law on Shop Closure (Publication sheet 1969, nr. 58), all business establishments must be closed on the aforementioned date.
In accordance with Article 3 of the Law on Shop Closure, the aforementioned is not applicable to the following businesses:
- Pharmacies, as far as it concerns the sale of medicine and medical products;
- Bars and restaurants;
- Hotels and guesthouses;
- Stores located in hotels and on airport and harbor premises;
- Funeral parlors;
- Gas stations;
- Bakeries selling pastries, milk, and milk products.
No relaxation of the laws will be granted to other types of stores to be opened on Good Friday, March 29, 2013.
