PHILIPSBURG:--- The Hennessy Artistry St. Maarten (www.hennessyartistrysxm.com) has scheduled the second annual event for Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013 in Festival Village, Philipsburg. Tickets are currently on sale for the show featuring nine-time Grammy® award winner John Legend as well as Percy Sledge, famous for the song "When a Man Loves a Woman," among numerous others.
Hennessy Artistry Hennessy Artistry St. Maarten is a flexible music communication program blending talents from different genres. It gives the brand a voice to consumer, press and music industry leaders about Hennessy's long-standing legitimate link to music.
The Hennessy Artistry St. Maarten event is organized by CD Entertainment, one of St. Maarten's premiere event organizations with over 30 years experience in the industry.
"We are honored to host this event and look forward to local enthusiasm and international attendance for this amazing celebration of music," said Edward Dest, interim director of tourism for the St. Maarten Tourist Bureau.
This year there will be two ticket options: VIP tickets will be US$150 with advance purchase; US$175 at the door. These tickets include VIP service, premium Hennessy drinks and food.
Tickets are also available for those who would like to experience only the concert aspect of the show for US$55 with advance purchase; US$75 at the door. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
The Westin Dawn Beach Resort & Spa will be the host hotel and is working closely with the marketing and sales team of Hennessy Artistry St. Maarten to finalize vacation packages with tour operators from the Caribbean, North America, Europe, and South America. Westin has arranged for packages for the local market as well.
Percy Sledge's performance will be accompanied by one of St. Maarten's local bands that has been put together by Fred York called "The Musicologists." The band performed for the Bob Marley tribute in February and the Heineken Regatta in March. These 13 highly talented artists will be gracing the stage first that evening with an original performance.
