Mobile provider TelCell now important part of weekend party scene on St. Maarten.

telemroadtocarnivalattantra18042013Pond Island:--- Trendy mobile provider TelCell, is fast becoming an important part of St. Maarten's trendy nightlife scene – especially in the Simpson Bay and Maho areas.

Thanks to a series of pre-carnival "warm-up" parties in the weeks before the actual carnival event this year, TelCell's creative personnel have developed a very popular fan base at many of the popular nightspots with a combination of sponsored events and fun giveaways.

"It's come to a stage now where people expect to see us, and if they don't they are now asking for us," said one of TelCell's event co-ordinators, Suraj Ramdas.

According to Suraj, the pre-carnival parties got the ball rolling earlier in the year when his colleagues organized events at the Soggy Dollar Bar, Bliss Night Club, Tantra and Sunset Beach Bar – and later in the Philipsburg area.

The same venues are now the places to go, for a new series of Summer parties that TelEm Group and mobile provider TelCell will be actively participating in, all the way up to September.

The Summer Program kicked off on June 2, with participation in Sunset Beach Bar's Monthly High Tide Beach Party, complete with Sexiest Bikini Girl and Sexiest Beach Hunk contests.

One week later the creative team was at the Bliss Night Club to welcome on stage Latin Artist Black Jonas Point. This party was filled with throbbing music for St. Maarten's Latin community, who make up a very important part of the company's customer base.

"This is one party that was alive and full of energy from start to finish. The audience knew the lyrics to many of the songs of the artist including his smash hit, "watagatapitusberry". We also raffled two Blackberry handsets in separate impromptu "dance-offs" one of which was hosted by Black Jonas Point himself. It was just a wild, fun night," said Suraj.

And last weekend was also blast at Planet Bliss Glow Party where talented Canadian due DZEKO & TORRES delivered an electro-house music show that will long be remembered.

"What all the parties have had in common so far is that they offer serious party fun to anyone who wants to go out and have a good time with friends they know and new friends they meet. The response to the DJs is great and the response to our presences also makes us feel very proud to be there," said the TelEm Group employee.

He said the party rolls on this weekend (Saturday, June 29) at the Soggy Dollar Bar where DJ/producer brothers "Puresang" will be performing.

"Puresang, who hail from Amsterdam, have quickly built a reputation for high-energy performance and the ability to always deliver a unique experience for guests. They have had gigs in over 15 countries.

Check them out this Saturday and look out for your favorite mobile provider party dudes and dudettes - who will surely be keeping the party rolling for locals and visitors alike.
