Philipsburg:--- This past week "Tracks Inspector" was introduced into the Police Force of Sint Maarten. This software is specially designed by the company Fox IT. Using this software one can easily search through automated files, greatly simplifying the investigations. The Police Force of Sint Maarten is the first police organization in the Caribbean that will be using this software as support during digital forensic investigations.
The Chief of the Judicial Department Ms. D. Jacobs awarded all students who successfully followed this basic training with their certificate in Digital Investigation. Eighteen investigators of the Police Force of Sint Maarten and the Federal Detectives followed this course in which knowledge and skills were taught by Mr. Benno van Leeuwen of Forensic Services in Curacao, with respect to the learning to investigate in the digital forensic environment.
