Pond Island:--- Administration Assistant, Jenise Diaz, is the lucky winner of an all-expenses paid trip to Miami Florida, USA, to see one of her favorite performers, Beyonce – "LIVE" in Concert.
Jenise was named winner of the Beyonce SMS contest, jointly promoted for the past seven weeks by party station X104.3 and mobile provider TelCell.
Her name was drawn at random by computer during a gathering of contest finalists at TelEm Group's main building on Pond Island Tuesday.
An ecstatic Jenise said she will be taking her sister along with her on the dream trip, and thanked all her colleagues for praying for her good fortune on her way to Tuesday's draw.
"My work colleagues all said I deserve to win so that I can have a well-earned break because I am going through a lot of things right now. I am so happy and I really, really wanted to see Beyonce in concert," said Jenise.
She admits to calling into X104.3 every day to participate in the contest, noting that she sent more SMS messages each day than she cares to remember.
"I did not know how many people were entering so I just sent as many as I could hoping my name would be picked up as a winner," Jenise commented when interviewed live on the radio station immediately after her win.
As well as receiving two airline tickets to Miami, Florida to see the live concert, she will also receive tickets to the "Mrs. Carter World Tour" and she will also be staying at the famous Fontainebleu Hotel with her guest.
Jenise was dwarfed by a massive check to the amount of $1,043 which she will be able to cash in for spending money for the trip with a prize-winning Blackberry Z10 with a host of new features to create memorable photo albums of the concert to show family and friends back home.
Contest collaborators, TelCell and radio station X104.3. have congratulated all prize winners, along with the main prizewinner for taking part in the exciting contest over the past seven weeks.
"Our team has enjoyed interacting with the public and with TelCell customers who have really been looking forward to the big draw," said party station owner, Etienne Brown.
He said it is now the station's responsibility to ensure that Jenise and her guest get all that is promised to them "the time of their lives with thousands of Beyonce fans in Miami on July 10th".
TelEm Group Marketing and Sales Officer, Ms. Cheryl Rismay is also pleased with the public response to the contest and the huge number of mobile customers who texted in "Beyonce" each day to the short code 1043 so that they could register for a chance to win one of three Blackberry Smartphones and become a finalist for the grand prize.
"We sincerely hope that after seeing the excitement that has been generated that others will be encouraged to enter future SMS contests we will be running with some more fantastic prizes," said Ms. Rismay in congratulating all winners, at the same time thanking all those who took part.
