PHILIPSBURG:--- Youth Drumband COCAAE happily accepts a cheque of Naf. 21,432.00 from funding agency Cooperating Foundations of the Dutch Caribbean for new drums.
Wednesday after their practice the young drummers of the Council of Cultural and Artistic Expressions Youth Drumband (Cocaae) were surprised with a big cheque from funding agency Cooperating Foundations. The Naf. 21,432.00 is a contribution towards the purchase of 36 new drums to professionalize the performances of the energetic young drummers. Within COCAAE kids and youngsters do not only learn how to play an instrument, but there is also a lot of attention for discipline, team work, and overall development.
