PHILIPSBURG:--- Attorney General of St. Maarten Taco Stein said in an invited comment that the investigators that are working on the ORCA (Bada Bing Bribery) investigation are making progress on a daily basis. Stein said that they are very satisfied with the progress that is being made but he is unable to say much more on the ongoing investigation because he does not want to jeopardize the investigation. Stein said that while he nor the Prosecutor's Office is not making any statements on the investigations the Landsrecherche is working on that does not mean that these investigations have been shelved.
Another case the national detectives are working on is the Election Fraud case but Stein was not able to provide an update on the three year long investigation.
The national detectives have been working on several investigations that involve politicians and top civil servants but to date none of these cases have been completed.
