The bags were donated to the Marie Genevieve de Weever School and the Leonald Connor and Charles Leopold Bell School in collaboration with SOL, Motor world and Postpaarbank. On hand to deliver the school supplies were: President of the Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunrise, Angela Gordon, Marketing Officer of Motorworld Kimberly Meyers, representative of SOL, David Antrobus, Director of Public Education Glenderlin Davis- Holiday and members of the Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunrise.

This was the second time the Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunrise undertook this initiative of contacting businesses within the community to participate in this school bag project. Last year, the club and UTS donated over three hundred bags to the students of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. School and the Dutch Quarter Community Center.

Rotary Club Sunrise will continue to support education in the various schools on St. Maarten.

The new school year is always an exciting time for students, and Rotary Sunrise and the sponsors: SOL, Motorworld and Postpaarbank are happy to assist with equipping children with the tools needed to start the new school year.

The Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunrise meets at Air Lekkerbek Restaurant every Tuesday mornings at 7:00am for fellowship and breakfast.
