PHILIPSBURG:--- The Junior Chamber International (JCI), formerly and widely known as the Jaycees hereby extends an invitation to the general public to attend its Open House Meeting this Wednesday, August 28th. This special evening will be held at the Philipsburg Jubilee Library and will commence at 7:30PM.
Returning from their Summer Recess, the local chapter is kicking off their second half of the year with an exciting and energetic evening, where they will also take the time to showcase their work, socialize and highlight the benefits of being a member.
The evening will have a special program surrounding the theme for the evening is "Re-Invent yourself".
Whether you're unemployed, self-employed, middle manager or an executive, it's sometimes easy to get stuck in a monotonous life and only fantasize about what could have been. Attendees will leave with some simple techniques for breaking down barriers and learning how to let go of negative thoughts that are preventing the individual from achieving their goals and dreams.
Junior Chamber International (JCI) is one of the biggest worldwide non-political and non-sectarian youth service & self-development organizations. They are an international community of citizens between the ages of 18 to 40 with the aim and purpose of creating positive changes in their communities and by extension, the world.
The organization believes that these changes must first begin with the individual, by empowering themselves to create the changes they wish to realize.
JCI St. Maarten meets every last Wednesday of the month for their General Membership Meeting at the University of St. Maarten (USM) at 7.30 PM
This evening promises to brings to you a whole new perspective, where fun is free, knowledge is power and your presence is vital and where strangers become your friends.
