"Un-attached youth urged to participate"
PHILIPSBURG:--- The Department of Youth Affairs in collaboration with the Departments of Sports, the Department of Social Development, Court of Guardianship and St. Maarten Youth Council will be hosting the 2013 Youth Round Table Conference on September 26th and 27th 2013.
As a part of the conference, the Department will be conducting a survey among the youth from the ages of 12 through 24 years. This target group will include students attending high school, employed youth as well as unemployed youth. The goal of the survey is to garner the thoughts, views and opinions of our wider youth populace which will ultimately assist the Department in developing much needed additional Youth Programs in relation to the present Youth Policy.
The Department is therefore encouraging all youth who in particular are not attached to any educational and or labor institution to visit the Department of Youth Affairs to participate in this survey. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes and will address the following topics:
- Family Life
- Youth Crime
- Sports and Recreation
- Youth participation
- National Identity.
The deadline for this survey will be on Friday September 13th, 2013.
